News Round-Up

Newport have given up on keeping loan forward Christian Jolley at the club after having a bid for the player rejected by Wimbledon. The local press now report that Forest Green and Luton are in the chase for the striker that scored five in five games for the Exiles. Conf North side Hinckley have cancelled tonight's match with Bishop's Stortford after having only nine available players due to injuries. They have failed to provide the Conference with medical proof by the 3.30pm deadline and may face a further points deduction.

Wimbledon say they expect to lose up to £200,000 next season if they continue with the same budget as this term. They retained last season's budget for this term and expected a small loss that would be covered by last season's profit, while the loss this term has only been lessened by their FA Cup TV money from a pair of televised ties. Speaking to the club's AGM, chairman Erik Samuelson says the club has one of the lowest playing budgets in League Two.

Kidderminster have reported a loss of £250,000 for last season, which was reduced to £50,000 after a new share issue, on largely stagnant turnover of £1million. The accounts do not go into where the additional spending went, with the losses attributable to 'administration expenses' and 'cost of sales'.
