Barnsley have rejected a second 'substantial' bid for former Bulls winger Matt Done. The 24 year old was signed by the Bulls in the summer of 2008 from newly relegated Wrexham for an undisclosed fee, but fell out of favour under the management of John Trewick and was released at the end of his deal. Birmingham have loaned former Edgar Street loanee Jake Jervis to Carlisle for a month. The 20 year old forward had spells last season with Swindon and Preston.
Balram Chanrai has stepped back into the frame at Portsmouth, lodging a revised - lower - bid for the club. In a statement, his company Portpin says they doubt the Supporters Trust's bid is capable of succeeding as they require substantial cuts to the agreed settlements with players, and that the money they have had pledged to their fundraising has not yet been paid. The Trust say their bid remains on track and has not changed.
Port Vale's Administrator expects the first 'concrete' bid for the club to come within the next two weeks. Bob Young is speaking to four parties with no further word on the status of Keith Ryder's bid for the club. Kettering are considering a groundshare with Corby Town to cut costs. The club remains in limbo following their financial meltdown with the Supporters Trust currently running the show. However current owner Imraan Ladak says they do not have the funds to support the club.
