Foyle Happy To Put Smiles On Faces

Speaking to the press after the game, Bulls boss Martin Foyle

"A hard-earned victory. I think you can see that the supporters do like a trier. I think Marley (Watkins) set it off with Sam Clucas down the wings and the rest of us really put in a good shift."

Foyle admitted that his players were flagging by the end of the game and that he would have liked more subs to replace weary legs. When asked about Sean Canham scoring, Foyle added:

"Both strikers on the scoresheet. The most pleasing thing was we've been working on Marley getting to the byeline, rolling the ball back for (Gallinagh) to stick into the box. When that actually went in tonight, as a coach, you get a buzz from that."

Foyle, without the benefit of the replay, thought Macclesfield's penalty was 'stonewall' while he "wasn't too sure" on whether the Bulls' claims for a spot kick later on had merit. Asked about Marlon Jackson's strike, Foyle added:

"It's nice isn't it? I think everyone in and around the club needed to have something to cheer about and put a smile back on their faces. I think that's done it."
