News Round-Up

Former Accrington chairman Ilyas Khan says he has been approached by a consortium looking to buy Blackburn, just days after he left the Crown Ground. New Stanley chairman Peter Marsden says he is looking for £150,000 in investment to the club to take it forward. Lincoln will be operating on a vastly reduced budget next season after losing their parachute payment. Chief Executive Steve Prescott says, of their 18 out of contract players, that many of them are being unrealistic about their wage demands.

Former Bulls duo Lee Morris and Jordan Fitzpatrick have both agreed new deals with Solihull Moors for next season. The pair are among 11 players to have agreed new deals at the Conf North side. Fleetwood have already been installed as second favourites to win League Two next season. They are best-priced at 7/1, behind Rotherham, to win the division at the first attempt.

Accrington have released defender Sean Hessey after failing to agree a new deal. The 33 year old has spent two years at the Crown Ground after signing from Macclesfield, but didn't feature for new manager Paul Cook due to injury. Barrow boss Dave Bayliss says he will not be offering players any more than a one year deal this summer, saying players on two year deals 'lacked drive' to force their way into the team.

Former Bulls winger Danny Thomas has signed for Icelandic side FH after spending the current season with Tamworth. The 31 year old scored three times in 41 games for the Lambs this term. Shrewsbury have defended their 'Microsoft clipart' badge after an online campaign against the design. They say it was a commercial decision as they had no copyright over the original design, which was based on a local crest.
