Pitman Axed By Bulls

Former manager Jamie Pitman has left the Bulls in the wake of the club's relegation to the Conference.

The former midfielder, physio, manager, and coach at Edgar Street finalised his departure from Edgar Street over the weekend after lengthy rumours that he was due to depart.

David Keyte's confirmation at the end of last week that the only reason Pitman remained in a job was at Richard O'Kelly's request meant that, with O'Kelly's departure on Friday, the former Swindon and Yeovil man had few friends left at Edgar Street.

His managerial tenure at Edgar Street saw the Bulls win just 22 of 80 games in charge. Bulls fans largely accepted his permanent appointment as manager but they began calling for his head from the Meadow End during September's 6-1 home loss to Gillingham and he never won the support back.

Speaking to the official site tonight, David Keyte confirmed that Gary Peters will not be the next manager of the Bulls, but will assist with the recruitment process.
