Plymouth are to seek a 'mentor' for rookie boss Carl Fletcher. As he unveiled his new board to the press, owner James Brent said he would look to bring in an experienced head to assist Fletcher. Sean O'Driscoll has been aiding his former Bournemouth charge previously, while Neil Warnock has also been touted for the post. Rotherham have signed veteran defender Richard Naylor until the end of the season. The 34 year old started the season with Doncaster but fell out of favour under new boss Dean Saunders before being released.
Kettering have been given approval by the Conference to sign two youngsters from Peterboro to bolster their ailing ranks. They remain under a transfer embargo but were struggling to even field a side before their game today was postponed. Darlington boss Craig Liddle has asked the Conference if he can play for the club despite their embargo. The 40 year old last played a competitive match six years ago, but he only has ten senior players left.
Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs says they will interview four candidates next week for their managerial post, and hope to have a new man in place by the end of the week. Despite earlier reports suggesting he had rejected the post, Richard Money was reported to be at their game with Crawley today along with Keith Curle, while Paul Ince's agent says his man has been contacted by three different teams.
Southend have signed striker Anto Flood until the end of the season. The Irishman was a free agent after his Bohemians contract expired.
