Gillingham face an anxious wait on news of a knee injury to new striker Adam Birchall after he was stretchered off during their win at Welling last night. Boss Andy Hessenthaler admitted that 'it doesn't look good' but they must wait for tests to show how bad the damage is. Rotherham boss Andy Scott has confirmed receiving an offer for striker Adam Le Fondre, but it was rejected as it was below the club's valuation.

Bristol Rovers have signed teenager Michael Boateng on a one year deal. The 19 year old full back had been playing for Carshalton and was recommended to the Pirates by Lennie Lawrence. Plymouth's Administrator says there is 'no danger' of the current bid for the club collapsing, and that Peter Ridsdale will own the club within the next ten days.

Crawley have reported season ticket sales of 1,100 after selling 262 at the same time last season. The club's Chief Executive Alan Williams says he believes the club can remain unbeaten at home all season. Crewe are to sign goalkeeper Alan Martin to act as understudy to Steve Phillips. The 22 year old will be their first signing of the summer.

Plymouth have signed keeper Jake Cole. The former Barnet man, 25, is to sign a one year deal. Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has confirmed the departure of assistant Ian Hendon, and says he expects a replacement to be appointed in the next week.
