Subs made the Difference - McQuilkin

James McQuilken scored one of Hereford United's goals this afternoon.

"I was over the moon with it," the midfielder told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"The ball came out to the edge of the box and so I though I'd take a touch and I just managed to curl it into the top corner."

McQuilken said it was an unbelievable game.

"I've never seen anything like it, but the lads showed great resilence.

"Given we were 3-0 down we didn't let our heads drop. We had nothing to lose so we came out and gave it our all."

McQuilken was at fault for the Cobblers third goal. A back pass for Bartlett was intercepted by McKenzie who then scored.

"I didn't see him (McKenzie) there. Hopefully it won't happen again. Second half we managed to turn it around and I scored a good goal as well.

"Jamie lifted us at half-time saying keep your heads up, keep going."

Manset and Fleetwood came on as subs.

"I think the substitutions made a big difference. Manset looked sharp when he came on and so did Fleets. They worked so hard and created loads of chances for us."

Towards the end Bauza played alongside McQuilkin in midfield.

"He's a clever player and he's a pleasure to play with. He's got so much ability on the ball and his awareness - he's a top player."
