"Yes, it was a bit unexpected but when you look at the results then you understand why the decision was made.

"He was a great guy to work with. The time on the training ground was interesting and enjoyable. We all wanted it to work for him. We have enough quality in the squad to be in a higher position than we are but with most of the squad having been brought in by him then I guess something had to give.

"We'll give it our best shot tonight….I think "Pits" is going to put out a strong side. We need a win but firstly we need to create some chances.”
