The atmosphere around Edgar Street this afternoon was by far the best this season to date. Right from the off the Meadow End got behind the squad who, in turn, gave them plenty to cheer about.
Up in the commentary box, H&W summariser and former defender Gareth Davies was full of praise for manager Jamie Pitman, the players and the supporters.
"Right from the kick-off and especially after the sending off absolutely brilliant," said Davies.
"Tempo, desire, hunger, discipline to be the best they could today.
"Things haven't been great around Edgar Street but today Jamie has got his team out there. They've battled, they've gone in, they've put their heads in where it hurts. They've closed people down, they've created angles.
"If we had eleven players we would have won that game today.
"The atmosphere around here today was electric. There was only 2,600 here but it seemed a lot more.
"Jamie is going to have a massive buzz from this. Whoever comes in he is going to play a major part."
