O'Neil Thompson is out of Saturday's match at Chesterfield due to injury.
Simon Davey told the official site that a combination of a cut on his foot and a groin injury has forced the Jamaican out of training this week, and that his efforts to get fit will be focused on next week's home match with Rotherham.
Davey has also spoken to BBC Hereford and Worcester about Thompson's injury.
"He pulled a muscle before the Crewe game. He rested and we gambled by playing him against Colchester.
"It back-fired as we had to take him off.
"He rested again then played against Gillingham and just felt he wasn't up to match pace. He lost a lot of training during that week so he's a bit short on the fitness side and sharpness."
