Simon Davey is confident that his Hereford United squad is ready for Saturday's game at Crewe.
"We're all ready," Davey told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I named the team to the players on Tuesday and they've been working towards the Crewe game.
"I named it early so that the players could get settled and ready and know their roles and responsibilities ready for the big kick-off.
"You have to be confident in the players and the team you have recruited. The feel-good factor off the pitch has been fanastic and it's put a little bit of pressure on the management and the players to live up to that pressure.
"I'm big enough and ugly enough to take the pressure. Hopefully the results will take care of themselves."
Davey knows the Bulls haven't got the easiest of starts this season. A tough away game at Crewe is followed by a Carling Cup-tie against Colchester next Tuesday. Then it's Gillingham followed by Chesterfield at their new ground.
"On paper it is a really tough month but you never know in football these days," noted Davey.
"The first four games could be the worst four teams in the division or the best four teams. Only time will tell.
"We have to be patient. It is a new group of players, a new management, a new board of directors.
"We're trying to do everything we possibly can to make the club push forward and we need support.
"There will be times this season when we're having a dip but stick in there with us because we'll be trying hard to make sure it turns out right.
"We know we can't win every game but we're going to make sure that the players are prepared enough to be in the battle."
