Manager Simon Davey was very pleased with last night's performance by Hereford United in the friendly against Swansea City. Goals from James McQuilken and Sean Canham sealed the result.
"I've told the midfielders to shoot and my strikers to shoot, if you don't shoot you don't score, and James got forward and did really well. Had a shot deflected and scored a good goal," Davey told the OS.
"So did Sean Canham. Great finish from him. Good for a striker on his home debut to get a goal.
"They are a bit moody these strikers, they need to get goals."
Davey also mentioned that the team were training at a new venue, as opposed to Belmont, but didn't say where.
Meanwhile Swansea caretaker manager Colin Pascoe said it was a good run-out for his players.
"Supporters will look at the result and say Swansea lost 2-0 but there we go. That's what happens.
"Hereford did play well and we're disappointed."
