Jonny Godsmark, who came to Edgar Street on loan for much of the first part of last season has joined Ashington which is close to Newcastle.
The best player on the pitch was Jonny Godsmark, recently released by Newcastle United after spending part of last season on loan at Hereford United. It was quite a coup for Ashington capturing his signature for the forthcoming season, especially as he declined contract offers from league clubs.
Meanwhile it has been confirmed that another former loanee Darren Dennehy has joined Barnet after being released by Cardiff City.
