Hereford United have confirmed the return of Stuart Fleetwood to Edgar Street on a two year deal. The Official Website reports that Fleetwood has signed for an undisclosed fee from Charlton Athletic.
Fleetwood joined The Bulls in 2006, from Cardiff City, and came on as a sub at the Walkers Stadium as United clinced promotion back into the Football League. The following season Fleetwood started with a bang, scoring a hattrick against Coventry City in the Carling Cup but a virus ultimately spelled the end of his career. He went on loan to Accrington where he failed to make an impression, before eventually being released.
The Newent born striker signed for Forest Green, where he finished top goalscorer in the Conference, and was snapped up by Charlton. He failed to make an impression at The Valley though, and was dished out on loan on a number of occasions to clubs such as Brighton and Exeter.
