Moore wary of Hereford

Manager Ronnie Moore is hopeful that Tranmere can keep up their recent good run of results with a win over Hereford United this afternoon at Prenton Park. However he knows that the Bulls still have the slimmest of chances avoiding relegation and could prove difficult opponents.

"No-one should think this is a foregone conclusion. Hereford will be fighting for as long as they have a chance of survival. You’ve only got to look at Cheltenham, the bottom team, getting a draw at Peterborough on Friday," Moore told the Liverpool Daily Post.

The Bulls go to Tranmere with a squad still missing a number of players through illness and injuries. Manager Graham Turner is therefore unlikely to be able to make more than one or two changes from the side that started against Leicester on Saturday.

Should the Bulls lose the game, and either Crewe or Carlisle gain a point from their respective games, they will be relegated to League Two. Even if the Bulls take a point and both Crewe and Carlisle win their games, it will mean relegation for Hereford United.
