News Round Up

Huddersfield have confirmed Norwich assistant Lee Clark as their new manager on a three and a half year deal. The 37 year old played over 500 games for Newcastle, Sunderland, and Fulham but has only limited coaching experience since quitting playing in the summer of 2007. Swindon have been given permission to speak to four managerial candidates who are all currently employed by other clubs.

Bournemouth are to defend themselves against a winding up order brought by a promotions company. The company was brought in to increase corporate sales on a commission basis, but the club claim it was billed for sales the club itself had generated. Mansfield have sacked manager Billy McEwan after just five months, and four points from the last 30. He is the eighth Conference manager to go this season.

MK Dons are to set up a trio of supporters consultation groups to gauge views of fans on club policies and the facilities at the stadium. Peterboro are to sign a 'top level' striker in the January window. They have three players, two from the Premier League, lined up with the drop into League One the only concern for the players.
