Less than 300 expected from Hartlepool

Hartlepool United are expected to bring less than 300 supporters with them to Edgar Street next Saturday.

They were given an initial allocation of 300 tickets to sell in advance of the game and some are still available. Whilst tickets will be available at Edgar Street on Saturday few extra are likely to be sold.

"With all respect to Hartlepool they are not that well-supported a club," said Graham Turner as reported in today's Hereford Times.

The paper reveals that several players have missed training sessions this week, one of whom is Lionel Ainsworth who still still suffering with a knee problem.

Meanwhile Robbie Threlfall is due to play for the reserves when they go to Cardiff for a game next Tuesday.

Finally a few facts about the lack of goals scored at Edgar Street this season and Hartlepool's recent away form.

Seven of Hereford’s last eight home matches have ended with fewer than three goals. In fact, there have been fewer goals scored at Edgar Street than any other ground in League One.

As for Hartlepool, 12 of their 16 away games to bottom-half teams since the start of last season have finished with fewer than three goals and perhaps worse for Pool they have taken just one point from their last six matches away to bottom-six clubs.
