News Round Up

Huddersfield have recalled defender Tom Clarke from his loan spell at Bradford due to injuries. Hartlepool have announced a loss of £1.6million in the year to 2007, with spending on wages of £2.1million. The club's owners have now pumped £9million into the club to keep it afloat. Oldham have revealed that striker Lee Hughes has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for £400,000. He is believed to be wanted by Doncaster.

Wycombe's Managing Director, and biggest creditor, Steve Hayes is the new owner of Adams Park tenants Wasps. Weymouth have sacked boss John Hollins, who has been on 'gardening leave' for the last two weeks. Chairman Malcolm Curtis says Hollins rarely turned up for training, and approached Woking over their manager's job. Ex-Bull Danny Carey-Bertram scored twice as his AFC Telford side beat Burton 3-0 in the Setanta Shield. DCB has now scored seven goals in eight games for the club.

Bournemouth's 3-3 draw with Luton last night finally put them on zero points for the season. Luton are now the last club in the red, on minus ten, with Grimsby and Rotherham the targets on ten points. Chester's sale is one of a number of topics to be discussed at an open fans meeting tonight. Owner Stephen Vaughan has said he may attend, as has John Batchelor. The pair are giving different stories at present, with Batchelor saying the basics of a deal has been reached though Vaughan says Batchelor hasn't a penny to his name.
