Jobs to go at the Hereford Times

The downturn in advertising levels has been blamed for the expected loss of four jobs at the Hereford Times and its sister papers produced in Hereford.

According to sources staff were informed of the plans last week with the likely cull to involve two reporters, a photographer and sub-editor. A consultation process is now under way with staff.

Circulation of the Hereford Times is 39,291, according to the lastest ABC figures.

Other outlets that report on Hereford United may also be affected as the recession bites.
