Northampton lost £700,000 last season, down from £1.2million the season before, and over £1.7million in 2005. A spokesman said: "This is good news for fans because it means the club is ultimately more secure and should be safe for the next season." Halifax fans have approached the FA with regards to forming a new club. The existing club is expected to be liquidated this week with a new club purchasing the name. Rotherham's takeover continues to move slowly with talks over Millmoor all but stalled. The Landlord currently refuses to budge on the current deal.
Darlington will be without both Pawel Abbott and Tommy Wright for the rest of the season. Abbott's comeback is expected to be too late even if they make the play-off final, while Wright's season is over after he damaged knee ligaments in yesterday's first leg. Defenders Ben Foster and Alan White are also doubtful for next Saturday's second leg.
Chester have released seven players following a disappointing season.
