Bristol Rovers have confirmed the release of Bulls loanee Sammy Igoe.
The 32 year old is out of contract at the Memorial Stadium after two years, where he played a total of 94 games including a prior spell on loan. Boss Paul Trollope said of Igoe: "Sammy came to us on loan from Millwall a few years ago, and then he came to us on trial in pre-season which people seem to forget. He came without being paid which shows what type of lad he is.
"He played a huge part in our success last season and the goal will be remembered for decades - not only in terms of his importance but the type of goal it was and the time in the game."
Igoe scored the killer goal for the Pirates as they beat Shrewsbury in the League Two play-off last season. He played four times for the Bulls in a months loan in April, and is the second loanee to be told he is being released following Toumani Diagouraga's impending departure from Watford.
