Strong rumours have arose today that Michael Ingham is set to join York City on a free transfer. The Northern Ireland international played second fiddle to Wayne Brown all season, making just one appearence in the Johnstone Paint Trophy against Yeovil.
Update: The Official York City website has confirmed that Ingham has signed for The Minstermen.
"Michael was identified as an experienced, quality goalkeeper that we wanted to add to the squad for next season," said a York spokesperson.
"I am pleased to say at 8.30pm last night we received confirmation from Michael's agent, Paul Bielby, that he is willing to commit his future to York.
"Michael showed he was a very good goalkeeper during his previous time with us and is somebody who already has an affinity with the club."
Meanwhile, Wayne Brown has come second in the League Two Golden Glove award. 'Superman' lost out to Willy Gueret who picked up the award.
