Hereford United defender Dean Beckwith said that today's win at Darlington was a great result and a massive three points for the Bulls.
"It wasn't pretty but three points away from home again. Clean sheet so everyone's buzzing with the three points," Beckwith told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
Darlington upped their game in the last ten minutes or so.
"They sent a couple more players forward hoping for a break or deflection or something but everyone defended well from the front to the back."
Beckwith admitted that he didn't see the return of captain Karl Broadhurst to the side instead of John McCombe.
"John McCombe has been different class as centre-half with me. Broady has come in today and done superbly.
"The pitch was the worst we've played on this season. You get the top teams and you want to see a nice game but it wasn't that today - just a battle."
