Despite being in the top six of League Two ever since the middle of September, Hereford United's average gate this season is expected to be very similar to last season.
Including yesterday's highest League gate of this season of 5279, the average so far is 3,283. This is a drop of 1.4% from last season's final figure which was 3,328. The stats come from www.tonykempster.co.uk
However the last two home games, against Wrexham and Grimsby, should have good gates. If these two gates average more than 3,800 then the average for the season will be very slightly higher than last season.
Wrexham still have their free coach offer for season ticket holders and could bring around 500 to Edgar Street on Tuesday. With this game important for both sides a gate of approaching 4,000 may be on the cards.
And if the final game against Grimsby becomes a decider as to whether the Bulls go up to League One automatically the gate could be around 4,000 despite very few from Grimsby as they have nothing to play for.
Overall, including yesterday's games, the League Two gates are up by 3.8% this season.
