The Bulls entertain geographical near rivals Shrewsbury in Sunday's League Two match of the day.
Historically the Bulls have won just four of nineteen encounters between the two sides, with three of them coming at Edgar Street. Last season the Shrews did the double in the League, following up a 3-0 win at Gay Meadow with a 1-0 win, but the Bulls won the FA Cup home tie 2-0 after drawing the initial match 0-0.
Shrewsbury have, so far, failed to capture their play-off form that catapulted them up the table in the second half of last season and come into the game on the back of three sucessive defeats. Away from home they have recorded just three wins from twelve matches, scoring just thirteen goals in the process. Top scorer Dave Hibbert, with ten goals in 27 appearances, is expected to be partnered by veteran Andy Cooke, who has scored four times in the six games he's been fit for this season.
The Bulls will go into the unknown on Sunday, with Toumani Diagouraga missing from their line up for the first time this season. The 20 year old, who has played 31 consecutive games for the Bulls and is the only ever-present in the side, picked up his fifth yellow card of the season on New Years Day and will be serving a one match ban. It is hoped that new faces will be signed in time to bolster the stretched Bulls squad with Saturday's bench consisting of three players without a League appearance this season, and a fourth coming back after two days training in six weeks.
Hereford United vs Shrewsbury Town, Edgar Street, Sunday 13th January, 2.00pm.
