News Round Up

Dagenham have closed their training ground after the majority of their 21 man first team squad went down with the sickness bug sweeping the country. Their weekend match with Morecambe is in doubt as a result. Cheltenham have confirmed that bids for ex-Bull Stuart Fleetwood and Exeter's Jamie Mackie have been rejected.

Salisbury are to complain to Conference officials after coach Tommy Widdrington was barred from Rushden's ground for the weekend match between the two sides. Widdrington was assaulted by Garry Hill in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, for which Hill was convicted by both the courts and FA. The club are now expected to ban Hill from their ground for next season's tie.

The BBC have named Wigan vs Chelsea as the first of the four televised FA Cup matches. The other three will not be named until after next week's replays. Each club televised in Round Four will get £150,000. Rochdale want £150,000 for former Carlisle striker Glenn Murray, who is attracting interest from Brighton. Murray has scored nine times this season, with five in his last six games.

Bradford have signed Paul Heckinbotham from Barnsley on an 18 month deal. The 30 year old has been on loan with the Bantams for the first half of the season and has taken a pay cut to stay on at Valley Parade. Winger Alex Rhodes has also agreed a new deal, until the end of the season.
