If Hereford United can defeat Tranmere either tomorrow or at a replay in eleven or so days time, they will benefit by £40,000.
Already the Bulls run in the FA Cup has brought them £40,000 in prize money (16k from round one and 24k from round two), £75,000 from television and around £4,000 from radio rights. A grand total to date of about £119,000. Plus a share of the gate receipts.
Whilst the Bulls will only receive a small payment tomorrow for radio rights, should the tie go to a replay there is a chance that a television company might broadcast the game, but that would depend what other replays occur. And there will be a payment for the highlights from the game which will be shown on BBC's Match of the Day.
As reported on Wednesday, BBC Hereford and Worcester will have live commentary from the game on 94.7FM and also on the internet but only in the United Kingdom. Former Hereford United favourite Dixie McNeil will be joining regular Keith Hall at the commentary point.
Internet rights issues mean that the BBC is not allowed to stream FA Cup matches overseas.
