Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has told his players that he expects a better performance against Hereford United tomorrow after last week's 2-0 defeat at Wycombe.
"It will be a great Christmas if we come back from Hereford with a result, but tomorrow's game is all we can think about right now," McIlroy told the Lancashire Evening Post.
"There is nothing else on the agenda. I was very disappointed with our display at Wycombe. We were lacklustre and didn't show our usual zest and energy.
"The lads know they didn't do themselves justice and that is not like them at all. It surprised me a little bit.
"I know all about Hereford. I saw them at Bury last weekend and they are a decent team.
"But we've had a great week on the training pitch and there's no reason why we can't bounce back with a big result."
Meanwhile Graham Turner has been speaking to the Lancashire Press in advance of tomorrow's match at Edgar Street.
"Morecambe have got a decent side and have made a solid start to life back in the Football League," says Turner.
"It could be a difficult game for us but the form we are in at the moment means that we do not have to fear anyone.
"It will be up to us to take the game to them but Morecambe are usually a side who like to pass the ball."
