No surprise Hereford are second says Slade

Yeovil manager Russell Slade is under no illusion that Hereford will be hoping to register their second win in a cup game over Yeovil Town this evening at Edgar Street.

"It is good to go back and try to bury a ghost and put things right. It will be a good test of character to go back there because they are flying high in the league," Slade told the Western Daily Press.

"They showed enough quality against us (to prove) that they are well capable of performing well in League Two, so to see them in second place is no surprise."

Yeovil's top scorer Lloyd Owusu should play this evening after a back injury. He is hoping to get back to scoring as well.

"Losing there 4-1 wasn't good for us, so we know what we have got to do," he said.

"The result is always going to be in the back of our minds but we are professional enough to know we don't want that to happen again.

"It is three games that I haven't scored now, and I am not very happy with myself.

"I have been getting chances and (at least) I have been there to miss them, but the next thing is to rectify that by getting one at Hereford."

As reported yesterday Yeovil are likely to be without several top players, including captain Terry Skiverton, because of injury and illness.

Meanwhile Graham Turner has also spoken about tonight's game.

"We don't want to treat the competition with anything less than (full) respect but it does give us the opportunity to make one or two changes. It will also freshen the side up a bit," Turner told the Western Daily Press.

"Maybe we will progress further in the competition having beaten Yeovil already this season - a repeat performance would be very welcome.

"I am of the opinion that it is a good competition with a prospect of an appearance at Wembley later in the season. I am surprised some other clubs don't feel the same way."
