Hereford United's Trevor Benjamin has been awarded the honour of being the Powerade League Two Player of the Month. The award was announced on Sky earlier this evening.
Benjamin, who is Hereford's top-scorer this season with five goals, was nominated along with Barnet's Jason Puncheon, Shrewsbury's Dave Hibbert and Anthony Elding from Stockport County.
His goals so far include two penalties, one at Barnet and one at Edgar Street against Bradford City.
He is expected to be back in the side for the Bulls tomorrow evening against Yeovil.
Meanwhile a former Hereford United player has won the Principality Building Society Player of the Month Award for September.
Andy Moran, who has been with Rhyl for several seasons, has scored six Welsh League goals to date.
To have three Hereford United current/former players winning Player of the Month awards (Stuart Fleetwood was the Blue Square winner -see earlier article) must be some sort of a record.
