Butcher might get the chop

After yesterday's defeat at Edgar Street, some supporters are calling for Brentford manager Terry Butcher to quit.

Butcher admitted that it was very difficult to come back into the game after the Bulls, through Luke Webb, had scored twice in three minutes.

"Normally on our away travels we do well. But I wasn't pleased with the performance. We have to play a lot better. I've got no excuses today.

"Hereford are a good side. They are full of confidence. They've got a good midfield that dominated our midfield.

"They got goals by good midfield play. They opened us up which I'm hugely disappointed with."

Butcher was asked about matters behind the scenes.

"As far as I know there was a board meeting the other day. The board are behind me. They want success."

Meanwhile Hereford's manager Graham Turner paid a compliment to Brentford.

"I thought overall we deserved to win the game," Turner told Teamtalk.

"Brentford have got some hard working and difficult players to play against and we found that at times but we did okay."
