27 Year old Michael Ingham has joined the Bulls as back-up for Wayne Brown. Initially he is on a one month contract according to the Official Website
Ingham, who is over 6ft, was born in Preston but comes from a Northern Irish family and started off his career with Belfast side Cliftonville, earning U21 honours for his country before being signed up by Sunderland.
A four-year spell with the Black Cats saw him loaned out on a number of occasions, including a spell with Wrexham in 2003.
On his release from Sunderland, clubs were queuing up to offer the keeper a contract, but he was more than happy to return to North Wales in the summer of 2005. He also gained his first senior cap, appearing as a second half substitute against Germany at Windsor Park.
After making over 70 appearances for Wrexham he was released from the Racecourse last summer.
Ingham should be fit as he played in a friendly last Tuesday week and kept a clean sheet for both sides. For the first 60 minutes he played for Whitby and then swapped shirts and kept goal for Darlington for the remainder of the game.
