Sturrock praises Hereford

Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock was said to be pleased with the point his side gained at Hereford this afternoon.

"If someone had offered me four points from the two Easter games then I would take it - but that now means we have to do the business on Monday at home," said Sturrock talking to the press after the game at Edgar Street.

"Hereford showed what a good side they are in the first half and the two strikers terrorised us in the opening stages.

"Phil Smith made several great saves and 3-1 wouldn't have been an exaggeration at half-time. I had words at half-time and they seemed to respond. We came out in the second half and had a go.

"Our supporters were fantastic today and they made some tremendous noise. It's unfortunate that we couldn't get three points for them."

Meanwhile Graham Turner was pleased with the point.

"We did ever so well and it was unfortunate that we didn't have a comfortable lead at half-time," said the Hereford United manager.

"The second half was a bit more even but they had a chance at the far post, so all in all, I thought it was a very good performance."
