In the Non-League Paper's Dream Team section, ex-Bull Gareth Stoker chose the best Eleven players he had ever played with in non-league circles. Despite not playing for the Bulls in non-league, Stoker picks out two ex-HUFC players - Neil Grayson, a former colleague at FGR, and himself - "A hard working midfielder who likes a tackle and is loud on and off the pitch. Pops up with the occasional stunning goal as the 35-yard screamer against Tottenham in front of 40,000 at White Hart Lane in 1997 proved." Whilst not wishing to burst Stoker's bubble, this reporter can only find reference to a 25 yard shot which went in off the back of Ian Walker's head in front of a half empty stadium.
In another HUFC-related news story in the NLP, the "Stevenage Borough Band", made up from pupils from a local school, will make it's debut in next Saturdays encounter.
The NLP also report that the racism claims by Dino Maamria against Ian Selley have now been dropped, apparently due to a lack of evidence. Selley is believed to still be considering legal action.
