Whilst some of his touchline antics infuriated many in the Merton Stand, Altrincham manager Graham Heathcote is proud of his team's performances so far this season.
Speaking in the Non League Paper, he stated "When we play the Morecambes of this world and come to places like this, who people say are the best passing sides in the league, with all due respect we know we are part-time and are going to come under the cosh. So we set our stall out to do a job and we have done it - very, very well".
"We have ten points after six games - everybody said we were going to get relegated, but we've come here and got a point so maybe people will give us a bit more respect now. It's a good start, not a great one, but after what everybody was saying, we have to go out and prove them wrong."
Graham Turner was disappointed by the result: "Altrincham were hard to break down, but you've got to take your chances. We didn't have the personnel to change things too much, so we had to keep playing and passing the ball. We needed to take our opportunities when they came along, but did not do that. The longer the game went on like that then the more secure Altrincham became and the deeper they got. We never looked as if we were going to concede but you never know in games like this."
