Supporters remember Archie
Several supporters spoke to the Hereford Times about former director Archie Phillips last Tuesday after the club decided to have a one minute silence before the Forest Green game.
"It was good the club did that. It made a lot of people very happy and was very well observed," said John Powell, a steward at the Vice Presidents club.
"They had to do it because he was a real good bloke, very special and a real character, who put a lot of money in to save United."
Graham Rivers, a former colleague on the board of Hereford United, added:" There have been many great directors who have saved the club over the years, but Archie equalled all of them.
"It was right to have a minutes' silence as you have to remember your history.
"That's the most important thing."
