One less reason to visit Exeter
There will be one less reason to visit Exeter football Club next season . Their mascot is moving on to better things.
A report in the Exeter Express and Echo says that Busty bombshell Athena could have paraded herself in front of Exeter City fans for the last time - after being signed up by a top London modelling agency. The curvy club mascot - alias Rachel Wherry - has yet to officially inform Grecians officials of her intention to quit her £20-per-game post.
Rachel was given the option between carrying on as Athena for 20 quid a game or go to London and earn £400 a day just for starters?
The Grecians are also searching for a replacement for Dave Stowell - the man behind the mask of Alex the Greek throughout last season as he is moving to Cardiff.
"Rachel has also done a fantastic job for us, both on the pitch on matchdays and mostly off the pitch in between games," commented commercial manager Andy Gillard.
"The smiles and enjoyment that she's brought to people have been brilliant and we wish them both all the best for the future."
A model as a mascot and a commercial manager at Exeter. Perhaps Hereford United should follow this example.
