Chester find the cash
Chester City has found enough money to settle their £18k debt to Hereford United.
Graham Turner appealed to Conference chiefs for help to obtain the money which was outstanding for tickets purchased by Chester City for the last game of the season between the two clubs.
Mark Wright, the Chester manager, is thought to be under some pressure to cut costs. He told the Cheshire Evening Leader this week that he was unable to pay high salaries to players and it is reported that the club has only sold 500 season tickets so far.
Graham Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "We went in the process of taking legal action against them. It was debt for ticket sales and since we took action we find the money has been paid into our account, so that is settled now."
