O'Kelly leaves Edgar Street
Hereford United first-team coach Richard O'Kelly has moved to AFC Bournemouth, reports BBC Sport Online.
O'Kelly, who holds a UEFA A coaching badge and an FA Diploma in physiotherapy narrowly missed out on promotion with Hereford after losing on penalties to Aldershot in the play-off semi-finals.
O'Driscoll said: "Richard will be a welcome addition to the coaching and management staff at the club. His enthusiasm, work ethic and attitude are first class and I'm positive that the players will enjoy working with him."
The Cherries boss added: "The rapport he engenders with the players he works with is similar to Peter's.
"Importantly, we both share the same football beliefs and philosophy although as with Peter we at times disagree on how to implement them."
The 47-year-old West Midlander started his playing career in the non-league ranks and played alongside O'Driscoll at Alvechurch before joining Walsall where he made 270 appearances, scoring 90 goals in two spells. He also played for Port Vale and Grimsby.
After spells on the coaching staff at West Brom and Aston Villa, he has spent two years at Hereford, acting as coach and physiotherapist.
O'Kelly will take up his new role when the players return for pre-season training on 5 July. He is due to be officially unveiled at Dean Court on Wednesday.
