Sportingbet posts record profits
Sportingbet, the online bookmakers, have produced record profits of £9.2m in the year to March 31st. The company, originally set up by Hereford United supporter Mark Blandford, now takes an average of eight bets per second every second of the day.
Shares in the company have risen from 30p to 90p in just twelve months. It is now the world's largest on-line betting group.
Mr Blandford is often seen both at Edgar Street and away venues. His company advertises at the Hereford stadium.
He is seen as a possible potential chairman of the Bulls especially since Graham Turner hinted he might give up the post when interviewed on ITV earlier this week.
Turner said:"There's no guarantee that I'll end my career here, I'd like to think there's other things ahead, but I'd like to see the club back in the League."
