Bulls wait on injuries

Hereford United are sweating over the fitness of attackers Steve Guinan and Rob Purdie ahead of their crucial Conference play-off semi-final second-leg against Aldershot Town at Edgar Street on Monday, kick off 3pm.

Guinan, United's top scorer, has missed the last two matches with a neck injury while Rob Purdie was substituted late in the away leg on Monday with an ankle knock.

Talking to the Evening News, Guinan was optimistic about featuring in the match.

"My neck has improved considerably and if that continues I should be all right," he said. "If it had been a one-off game on Thursday, I might have been tempted to risk it but as it was there was no point in going on, having to come off after 10 minutes and missing Monday's game as well."

Looking ahead to the match, he added: "We shall be confident about Monday. I'm not sure Aldershot can play any better than they did the other night, but I know we can."
