Extension to 2005
The extension of the £1 million loan from Formsole to Hereford United to May 2005 has been all but confirmed by Graham Turner. HU-FC.co.uk broke this story last December (article dated Dec. 16th 2002) and Turner has now told the Hereford Times of his hopes for the extension.
"There are verbal reassurances from Chelverton and representatives of the Richardsons that the loan payment date will be extended until May 2005. We have not been informed in writing but the latest we have heard is that the Richardsons and Carillion, who are taking over the project, were involved in talks with the receivers," said Turner.
"When those discussions are finalised, I have been assured the details will be put to us in writing. But we have been categorically assured that we do not need to fret about the date of May 2003. The loan has not gone away, it is still on the books and it will have to be addressed at some time in the future."
