Win or bust

Hereford United go into Saturday's match against Burton Albion knowing that less than three points would be catastrophic to any lingering play-off chances, kick off 3pm.

The Bulls host the Brewers at Edgar Street and after last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Margate, an upturn in fortunes is required. United won just once and lost four Conference games in March.

"Saturday's defeat was a severe blow to morale in the camp, but it's never over until it's over. We have to approach the Burton game as if the three points are vital to us," he told the Hereford Times. "It's now going to need a dramatic dip in form from one of the top clubs for us to get there. We must win our last five games to stand a chance."

After Margate's last minute winner appeared to be offside, Hereford's luck needs to turn. Turner continued: "The player tried to remain inside his own half, but, when the ball was played to him, he was at least three yards offside."

Meanwhile, former Hereford United player/physio Ian Rodgerson, who is working wit the medical team at Birmingham City, has signed on non-contract forms for Pegasus Juniors, from whom he first joined Hereford in 1984.
