Correia fighting for longer investment
Attacker Albano Correia has just five games to secure himself a contract at Hereford United, says boss Graham Turner.
Turner was talking to BBC Hereford & Worcester about the attacker who has joined on non-contract forms from Bristol City following his release from Ashton Gate.
Correia must impress in the remaining matches, or face the prospect of searching for a new club in the summer. He will have a fight, though, to make the starting line-up on Saturday as United host Burton Albion at Edgar Street. John Grant returns from suspension, while Steve Guinan and on-loan Karl Hawley, of Walsall, will also look for a place in the first eleven.
United remain without Jamie Pitman, who completes his two-match suspension, but in the heart of defence, Tony James is making good progress with the ankle injury which ruled him out of last weekend's 3-2 defeat against Margate, and could play.
Burton Albion haven't lost in their last four matches and will field on-loan midfielder Jon Howard, from Chesterfield. Darren Wassall, the former Derby County defender, will miss out after a knee operation, as will midfielder Glenn Kirkwood, who has an injured ankle.
