The Bulls News Prediction League has been updated for the final time this season after Hereford lost 1-0 at home to Scunthorpe United.
Of the 95 competitors who submitted predictions for this triple points game, nobody saw a 1-0 defeat coming. In total 23 went for a loss, 13 for a draw and 59 for a win.
There was no late drama in the race to be crowned prediction league champion as nobody gained enough points to overtake Rockabully who has been at the top for a staggering 42 games.
As was the case last year, there are small prizes on offer for:
- The top three
- The wooden spoon award for the least successful continuous predictor (lowest points tally after 40 games plus)
- The 'if only I hadn't missed those games' award for the predictor outside the top 10 with the highest points per game average (minimum 20 matches)
The unglamorous Wooden Spoon award goes to BaselWhite, having amassed 74.5 points from 40 games.
The 'if only I hadn't missed those games' award goes to Burslembull, who averaged 3.51 points per game.
I will be in touch to arrange your small prizes.
So there you have it, the end of the season and the end of this Bulls News Prediction League.
A quick thank you to all of you for taking part this season and hopefully it's been enjoyable (especially given rivalries with family and friends!). I'll be after some feedback over the summer so if you're planning on being back with us next August, be sure to let us know what you think the rules should be.
