Bulls Should've Put The Game To Bed By Half Time Said Owen-Evans

Hereford didn't take their chances in this afternoon's goalless draw at Ashton United and the game should have been put to bed by half time, according to midfielder Tom Owen-Evans.

The Bulls created a number of opportunities on a difficult pitch at Ashton, but they couldn't break the deadlock for what would've been an important three points.

Owen-Evans said that the team felt they'd done enough to win the game.

"We've come away from home with a clean sheet which is a positive," he told the press after the game.

"But the boys are disappointed in there because we thought we'd done enough to take the three points today.

"We could have been two or three nil up at half time, there's a lot of balls in the box and we created a lot of chances.

"The pitch isn't great so it's hard to create clear-cut chances on here, but we had a lot of half chances and we went in at half time saying we should have put the game to bed already.

"It wasn't to be, we've had chances second half. We'd done enough to win the game but we've only come away with a point."

"It would've been nice to pick up three points but in games like this, six-pointers near the bottom, most importantly you've got to not lose.

"You've got to take a draw at least and we've got that, a clean sheet, but we should be coming away with three points."
