Church Welcomes Willets

Alvechurch have confirmed on Twitter that Jamie Willets, who joined them yesterday from Hereford, will feature in today's game for the Worcestershire-based side.

This is the article in full where manager Ian Long says he's hopeful that Willets' experience will help Alvechurch this season:

Alvechurch FC are pleased to welcome Jamie Willets to the club.

Jamie joins from last seasons champions Hereford and is a big boost to the Alvechurch squad.

Jamie is no stranger to the Alvechurch management or players having played under both Ian Long and Richard Colwell.

Ian Long said: "I know Jamie well, I've managed him and he's done well in games against us which included scoring the winner in the FA cup last year.

"He is still only young but has gained valuable experience at Hereford which included playing at Wembley in the FA Vase final.

"He knows what it takes to win this league and we're hopeful that experience will help us this season."

Jamie is available for today's home game v Coventry United and goes straight into the squad.
