Following the sacking of Newport County's manager Warren Feeney this morning, ex-Hereford United goalkeeper James Bittner, along with fellow Exiles coach Sean McCarthy, have assumed caretaker responsibilities at the club.
Bittner made 37 appearances for Hereford during the 2013-14 season, keeping 9 clean sheets. He then joined Newport on a short-term deal on the 28th July 2013 and has since had spells with Salisbury City and Plymouth Argyle.
The 34-year old returned to Rodney Parade as a player/coach earlier this year.
