Better Value At Edgar Street!

An interesting article written by Haydn Atkins looks at the walk-out at Liverpool last weekend.

Supporters left the ground in the 77th minute in protest at the club increasing prices to watch games.

'This was direct action in protest to the movements made by the Fenway Sports Group, who raised ticket prices to as high as £77  for one game this season. £77 – let that figure settle in your mind.

'For two matches at Anfield at that price you can get a season ticket at non-league Hereford FC, who are regularly cheered on by over 3,000 fans at their romantic Edgar Street home. Yes, they are in the ninth tier of English football but that’s what makes the revival all the more pleasing and it’s an absolute bargain.'

Meanwhile Jurgen Klopp is to come under the hammer at a livestock sale to be hold by Brightwells in Hereford Market.

The proceeds from the accident prone Klopp, who once had to rescued from the River Lugg, will be given to St Michael's Hospice by Klopp owner Tom Pearson, a farmer and football fan.
